BFV represented the developer of a mixed-use, master planned development which acquired an assemblage of 70 commercial and residential parcels comprising approximately 60 acres northwest of Atlanta. BFV attorneys coordinated the entire acquisition process. This included drafting purchase and sale agreements, reviewing and assisting with due diligence, negotiating loan and investor documents and terms, negotiating and securing a joint development agreement with the governing jurisdiction and coordinating the logistics and timing of the closings. The commercial real estate team at Berman Fink Van Horn represented the sponsor and developer in the assemblage and acquisition of 68 individual parcels of land in Kennesaw, Georgia for a total purchase price of more than $30 million. The project took over two years to complete and is one of the largest assemblages of property by a developer in metro Atlanta. The acquired real estate and improvements included commercial and residential, improved and unimproved and owner occupied and leased properties. The total sale price was in excess of $26 million. Client’s $31 million project to acquire and develop student housing community
Berman Fink Van Horn attorneys represented the developer in the acquisition and development of the Arcadia on the River student housing community to be constructed in Milledgeville, Georgia, just outside Georgia College and State University. The $31 million project consisted of approximately $9 million in equity and an approximately $22 million construction loan.
