Cher Gregoire

  • Biography

Cher Gregoire is a business litigator and brand protector.

An accomplished litigator, Cher represents clients in many industries in disputes involving trade secrets, restrictive covenants and other competition-related issues; intellectual property (trademark, trade name, trade dress and copyright infringement and counterfeiting); fiduciary duty and duty of loyalty; tortious interference with contracts and business relations; commercial real estate; professional malpractice; breach of contract; creditors rights; and insurance. In addition, Cher frequently litigates shareholder and partnership disputes, construction matters, and matters involving alcohol licensing and regulation.

Cher’s extensive litigation experience equips her with a unique perspective, allowing her to approach non-litigation matters with a focus on dispute avoidance. To that end, she advises clients on trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement matters, and manages clients’ trademark portfolios in the alcohol, food, beverage, hospitality, finance, beauty, nutritional supplement, apparel and music industries, among others.  She also counsels clients with respect to employment, commercial real estate leasing and alcohol regulatory matters.

With more than 20 years in practice, Cher has handled cases in Georgia’s state and federal courts. She has also handled disputes in arbitration, including before the American Arbitration Association (AAA), inter partes proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), and Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy proceedings.

A graduate of Georgia State University College of Law, Cher was a member of the Law Review Editorial Board.  She received her Bachelor of Arts from Randolph-Macon College in International Studies and English.

Outside of the office, Cher enjoys traveling, attending art exhibitions and performances, reading, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
