BFV attorneys Benjamin I. Fink, Neal F. Weinrich, and Emma L. Sammons co-authored the “Georgia” chapter of the newly released “Noncompete Agreements and Related Restrictive Covenants,” published by Practising Law Institute (PLI).
Written by attorneys with extensive experience in noncompete law, the inaugural publication aims to help in-house and outside counsel navigate the legal patchwork of restrictive covenant laws—which have been regulated in some form in all fifty states and Washington, D.C.
The publication provides a state-by-state review of the laws of restrictive covenants. Each chapter focuses on a single state and provides information on key topics, including statutory references; enforcement of restrictive covenants; protectible interests; drafting considerations; special issues for specific occupations; and litigation considerations, strategies, and remedies.
PLI, a nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping attorneys and other professionals at the forefront of knowledge, plans for an annual update to each chapter to account for new case law.
BFV’s Noncompete and Trade Secrets team helps companies and individuals navigate the issues that arise when an employee is hired from a competitor or leaves a company to join a competitor, often involving the theft of trade secrets. The firm helps companies of all sizes protect their competitive edge and defends companies and individuals accused of engaging in unfair competition.
