EEOC Bracketology – Test Your Knowledge

The EEOC recently released its charge statistics for FY 2013 (October 1-September 30).  The number of employment discrimination charges filed in FY 2013 totaled 93,727. The EEOC also reported that it had obtained $372.1 million in monetary recovery through its administrative process.

The EEOC issued a new table this year that shows the “Basis by Issue.” This new feature provides details about the types of conduct that allegedly violated certain sections of the laws enforced by the EEOC. For example, you can now easily see how many charges based on a termination were allegedly due to race, sex, national origin etc.
In the spirit of the NCCA basketball championship, you can test your knowledge of the EEOC charge filing statistics by completing the bracket and selecting the most filed charge of discrimination in FY 2013.

The statistics (and answers to the bracket) can be found at link http://www.eeoc.gov/eeoc/statistics/enforcement/index.cfm.
