Lawrence's Biography
Lawrence approaches legal issues from a business person’s perspective. A Shareholder at Berman Fink Van Horn, Lawrence is a corporate and commercial real estate attorney, entrepreneur and (former) business executive.His areas of concentration include corporate and commercial real estate law and business finance. As a business lawyer, Lawrence counsels clients on business strategy and risk, corporate governance and corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, management and consulting arrangements and supply, distribution and licensing agreements. In his commercial real estate practice, Lawrence represents private and institutional lenders, property owners, investors, residential, retail and multi-family builders and developers and landlords and tenants of retail, office and industrial properties.
In addition to practicing law, Lawrence has co-founded two businesses, including an award-winning residential real estate development and construction company and a web-based mobile marketing and text messaging service, which was sold in 2014. He also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for Georgia Center for Child Advocacy and volunteers for the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta.
Lawrence is a cum laude graduate of Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law and a magna cum laude graduate of The George Washington University School of Government and Business Administration. He also completed a portion of his studies overseas at Tel Aviv University Faculty of Law in Israel and at City University (undergraduate) in London, England.
In his spare time, Lawrence enjoys coaching his children’s sports, reading historical non-fiction and watching the Philadelphia Eagles. Lawrence and his wife reside in the city of Milton with their two sons and dog.
