This blog previously discussed the non-compete agreements implemented by Jimmy John’s (click here and here). Now there are new developments. According to the Huffington Post article below, the New York Attorney General has sent a letter to Jimmy John’s sandwich shops asking for information regarding their non-competes. Also, according to the article, Congress has asked the Federal Trade Commission to investigate this matter. It will be very interesting to see the end result of all of the backlash toward the non-competes used by Jimmy John’s.
